Training built from the work itself — certified, and kept current.
Join the work instructions and assessments you already have into one training path for a role, a line or a process. Pass it and you're certified for that area, with a validity you set. The record feeds your LMS or skills matrix — REWO doesn't replace them.
Definition
What is a REWO course?
A REWO course is a training path made from existing work instructions and assessments. Passing it issues a certificate for that job, line or process — valid for a period you define.
Reuses what you have
The guides operators use on the line are the training material. Nothing to build twice.
Assessed automatically
AI drafts the assessments from the same guides; your engineer approves them.
Certified with an expiry
Each certificate has a validity, so retraining happens before knowledge fades.
Where it's used
One structure, many kinds of training
Job, line or process paths
Everything a new person needs for a position or a line, in one path.
Onboarding
General onboarding and safety basics, standard for every new hire.
Recurring certifications
Hygiene, safety and other training that must be renewed.
Visitors and contractors
Safety and site-induction courses for business visitors and external maintenance teams, opened with a short registration form.
How it works
From existing guides to a certified operator
Step 1
Pick the content
Select the guides and forms that cover the role, line or process.
Step 2
Generate the assessments
AI drafts them from the guides; your engineer reviews and approves.
Step 3
Set the validity
Shorter for critical processes, longer for routine ones — and adjustable by experience level.
Step 4
Assign or open it
Assign it to people and teams, or open it to anyone with a registration form.
Step 5
Certify and renew
Pass the course, get the certificate. Shift and line leaders see expiring certificates and send people back before they lapse.
On the job
We don't replace the mentor. We make the mentor's time count.
Most plants rate skills in four levels — from knowing the method to being able to teach it. A course covers the first: the operator knows the method before they reach the line. The mentor then watches them do it, and spends their time on real gaps and misunderstandings instead of repeating the basics.
| Level | What it means | Who confirms it |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Knows the method | REWO course and assessment |
| 2 | Performs it with supervision | The mentor, on the floor |
| 3 | Performs it independently, to standard | The mentor, on the floor |
| 4 | Can train others | The mentor, on the floor |
And every new hire gets the same first lesson, in their own language — whoever happens to be on shift.
Next to your LMS
Your LMS records training. REWO produces it from the line.
| Dimension | A typical LMS | REWO Courses |
|---|---|---|
| Training material | Built and maintained separately | The work instructions operators already use |
| When the method changes | Training goes stale | The course uses the current guide |
| Where it's taken | A desk or a classroom | At the station, on a phone, anywhere |
| Languages | Usually one per course | 100+, from the same guides |
| What it proves | That a module was completed | Understanding of the current method, with a certificate that expires |
| The record | Stays in the LMS | Feeds your LMS, HR system or skills matrix |

MANN+HUMMEL
Training on certain operational skills went from six hours to a maximum of three, and REWO runs inside the company's own employee academy.

New operators train in five days instead of two to three weeks, and the plant is extending REWO to recurring hygiene and safety certifications.

Questions, answered
- Is REWO an LMS?
- No. REWO creates training from your work instructions and certifies people on it. The results can feed the LMS, HR system or skills matrix you already use.
- Does a course replace on-the-job training?
- No. It covers the knowledge step so the mentor's time on the floor goes to practice and real gaps.
- How long is a certificate valid?
- As long as you decide. You can set shorter validity for critical processes and adjust it by experience level.
- How do leaders know who needs retraining?
- They see valid, expiring and expired certificates for their people and can send them back to the course.
- Can visitors and contractors take a course?
- Yes. Open a course with a registration form, for example a safety induction before a plant visit.
- Does it connect to our skills matrix?
- Yes. Completions are available through the API and webhooks, so your skills matrix or LMS can receive them.
